LBC: What's next on my wishlist?

I've skipped so many Lolita Blog Carnivals, last one was in FEBRUARY, omg! But here is another theme post. Today's topic is:
What's next on my wishlist?

I have a wishlist, it's incomplete and already way too long. I just scratched two pieces from it: the Victoria Princess Onepiece in pink by Angelic Pretty and the Mary Bell dress by Innocent world in light blue. I was very happy when it came back to the store ♥

I don't have an "order" for my wishlist like: THIS should be next. Some of the pieces are very hard to find and it depends on my mood if I want to spend amount X for it at this exact moment. This year was a very wishlist~y so far because I got the two babies from above, then the Rose Dress Up JSK (Angelic Pretty) from the re-release AND the Twinkle Carnival Halterneck JSK (Angelic Pretty) which was on my wishlist since the release. What pops up next? I'm ready for it! ;D
But what I reaaaaally want tohave are these shoes:

I didn't want to spend the money for the normal retail price, so I waited for a sale and MISSED IT!! Only colors and sizes left that I don't want or need. But I'm really patient with wishlist pieces, so I will wait....

Maybe the next wishlist item of mine is a printed dress. I bought so many solid colours pieces in the recent time, I need a new print - flowers maybe? I sold so many of my flower-printed dresses, I have to stock up again, haha ^^*

Do you have a wishlist-order? What do you want to get next? Let me know ♥

Small meetup

Two weeks ago, we did another small meetup in Düsseldorf. At first, we went to the Japanese Takagi bookstore and looked at the newest fashion magazine releases. After that, we visited Toykio, a café that has an exhibition in the basement where we were allowed to take some photos :) Unfortunately, the light was quite bad and my black outfit looks even darker in the pics :D Almost no details visible but nevertheless I can show you some pictures from the day ^_^

It's me before a picture that perfectly matched my outfit in black x gold :D

My lovely Cindy and me ♥

A group picture: Me, Jessi, Cindy, Alina, Laura and Ina

After that we ate at Dschunke, a Chinese restaurant. I ate suuuuper delicious chicken with sweet-sour-sauce *v*
But that's not enough of course :D Next stop: Café TenTen!! We had smoothies and matcha latte
It was a wonderful day! Thank you, my dear friends! Here is another picture of my outfit because the tights are not visible in all the other pics =(

dress: Metamorphose
headdress: Bodyline
blouse and tights: Primark
necklace: Harry Potter merchandise
shoes: Vivienne Westwood x Melissa

I wish you a wonderful weekend♥

Meeting with Rosalynn

No Lolita Blog Carnival for today but a meetup report ^__^ Last weekend, the lovely Rosalynn (check out her pretty blog!) visited Düsseldorf and May planned a Lolita meetup for her. I love that ♥ I've done a small meetup some years ago for a Lolita from the UK. It's so nice to meet other people and show them around. Most of them really like the Japanese area in Düsseldorf. You can buy mooks in the bookstore, drink bubble tea, eat Japanese (of course) and buy some groceries.
We went to Okinii, a Japanese all you can eat restaurant. We were soooo full afterwards °^° I don't like sushi, so I ate yakisoba, gyoza, fried rice and stuff.

Then we wanted to take some pictures but it was sooo windy! Thank got we all wear safety pants/ bloomers. We asked a couple to take a group picture of us but.. I think none of the people you ask for taking a picture are able to do it. They cut off your feet aaaaaall the time. But the pic is a nice memory even without feet :D

(credit for this and the following pics go to Rosalynn!)
We also made some solo photos but I was so cold and not really in the mood for pics. I am really sad I don't have a good picture with that dress because I will sell it now T_T But here you can see my coord:

dress: Baby the stars shine bright
socks: Metamorphose
cutsew and beret: Taobao
shoes: no name (doesn't seem like it on the pic but they have the perfect matching color for the dress *^*)

Of course my beloved Cindy was with us! We did our signarture pose, too :D

The day was very short but I had an awesome time with beautiful people and nice food ♥ Hope we will meet again at another Lolita event, soon ♥

Coordinating

At the moment, I have sooo many new coords in my head, most of them are for the new dresses I'm expecting in the near future but also for old ones.
I have this one perfect coord in my head and try to realize it and after I have worn it, I want to wear the next dress. Some people have coord-skills that they can wear dresses in many different ways. I do it the other way. I want this one perfect coord and then I'm done. Sometimes I wish I had the creativity others had :/

Today I created my outfit for the next meetup we have in our friends. Last year (or was it even 2012?) I bought his velvet Metamorphose dress with chiffon and haven't worn it yet. I want to combine it with some gold elements ♥

It's very simple butI like it that way ♥ I will have some cameo accessory since the buttons on the dress are little cameos^^
dress and bag: Metamorphose
blouse and tights: Primark
shoes: Vivienne Westwood x Melissa
headdress: Bodyline
misc. accessory: no name

This is my twin coord with my best friend Cindy. She gets the Romantic Rose Letter JSK and pink and will have the same socks, bag, shoes and accessory like me :3 We will wear it at the Rothenburg Candy Day in July!

dress and socks: Angelic Pretty
blouse: The Floral Notebook
shoes: Antaina
bag: Loris
accessory: no name

What's your way of coordinating an outfit? Are you planning long before you wear it or are you the spontaneous type? Let me know :)

Review: The Floral Notebook - My Beloved Empress blouse (positive)

Some time ago, I found the indie brand "The Floral Notebook" (why does she just has 545 likes? The stuff is beautiful! Go and like!) from Vietnam on Facebook and fell in love with the chiffon blouses, especially the My Beloved Empress one.
You can make them custom-size and the range of colors to choose from is soooo wide! But for my Romantic Rose Letter coord I simply chose white.
So here is the ordering process:
Dec 22nd 2013 - wrote a private message on Facebook with my wishes
Dec 23rd 2013 - got message back with an order form (excel sheet) where I have to put in my measurements. Sent it back the same day
Dec 24th 2013 - got message that she can't connect to PayPal at the moment but she will already start with the blouse, it would take 7-10 days to finish
Dec 30th 2013 - got invoice and message that blouse was almost finished
Dec 31st 2013 - paid
Jan 4th 2014 (Sat) - blouse was done, she wanted to ship it out the next Monday
Jan 7th 2014 (Tue) - she messaged me that she forget the package and was terribly sorry for not sending it like she promised. Busy with school and so on. Would ship on friday. If I wanted, I could have gotten proof pics but didn't want to. I was not in a hurry to get the blouse so no problem for me ^^
Jan 10th 2014 (Fri) - she sent it and I got a tracking number
Jan  25th 2014 - blouse arrived safely at my home. It was already in Germany on the 18th but customs are sooo slow sometimes >_<

This is how the package looked like, a normal envelope.

And inside the blouse was wrapped in a plastic bag.

And this is the blouse. I have to say, that it is quite long but I guess it's my fault because I gave the measurements like this but the blouse fits very nicely around the bust and waist (critical parts^^)

Please click for bigger view

The quality is very nice, the chiffonis soft and the seams are very accurate. No loose threads or something! Very professional! I paid USD 52 in total with shipping. That's a good price because it's even cutsom-size.

Conclusion:
All in all I have to say, that ordering from The Floral Notebook was very easy and the owner is a very nice and helpful girl. I will definitely keep an eye on their designs and buy from them again because the quality is also very good.

Worst timing ever

January is always an expensive month, I have to pay my car insurance and the electricty bill comes in..etc.
But January is also the month of Sale and obviously the month of beautiful new prints.

At first I bought the super cute Pullip Midori. Next thing is, that I reserved a shopping service spot for Romantic Rose Letter when I saw the Kera scans. At first, I wanted to buy the special set and then gave the spot to a Lolita friend of mine and chose the purple JSK with the beautiful lace collar.

So next thing I saw was the "Girlie Stuff" print my Metamorphose. I LOVE it!! Especially the halter neck JSK but because I already "bought" the new Angelic Pretty release, I ignored it and just put it on my mental wishlist.

After that, I saw the Leopolda Onepiece from Innocent World up for reservation. Love at first sight, really. The green colorway is my absolute favorite BUT it's hard to find matching accessory, so I reserved the brown colorway.

And last but not least: The re-release of Rose Dress Up from Angelic Pretty. The first release was also a love at first sight but I decided not to buy it and try to get it second hand - I failed. But now there is also a red colorway and red is my absolute favorite color *-*
Lolita Goddess, you hate me, right? Do you have to release all of this beautiful stuff almost at the same time?
But I decided to sell some dresses and other stuff, so there won't be a big hole in my wallet after I bought them because yes...I got the Rose Dress Up JSK, too. The fabric is so beautiful and in red, it is nonplusultra. I can't wait to coordinate it with my new blouse and stuff *-* It's already in my head. Also the other coords for Leopolda and RRLetter. I think that's always a good sign, right?
Last weekend I saw the Angelic Pretty Online Shop Sale.. I was too late for everything I would have wanted. I think that's okay. I already have three fantastic new dresses and I can't wait to wear them!!
Don't worry about my financial situation. I have a full time job and I won't buy too much that I can't pay bills ;)

Small X-Mas meetup

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the Royal Pony meetup as a Lolita last weekend because I was on Maid duty but the weekend before we had a small private meetup in Düsseldorf. We went to Maredo and ate delicious steak, after hat we strolled around the Christmas market and chilled at Café Tenten where I got a Peach Yoghurt Smoothie. Gosh, it was soooo tasty. Although it was cold, it was perfect *-* Want it again!
Here are some pictures from the day. I was able to wear my new velvet onepiece from Angelic Pretty that I bought in Tokyo ♥ I love deep red!

My food *-* Steak with country potatoes and garlic bread

Our group: Cindy, Laura, Ina, me and A-K with the drum on her head ♥

My outfit:
dress: Angelic Pretty
socks: Alice and the Pirates
shoes: Secret Shop
accessory: ebay, christmas deco, Paris Kids

Hope you like my outfit :) Does your local community also do christmas meetups? :)

LBC: Your favorite print theme

Okay, this won't be a suprise to anyone who knows me but my favorite print theme is:
FLOWERS
especially roses. Most of my dresses feature a flower pattern and I still don't have enough of them :) At first it was just my rose triplet I wanted to have: Powder Rose, Tiara Rose and Lady Rose but now it's so much more!

Most of my dresses featuring flowers are from Angelic Pretty. Rose-prints always look elegant and can be worn in many different ways: gothic but also sweet or classic. A very versatile print :) I also like flowers (or headgardens) as hair accessory so you don't always need the matching headpiece to your dress.

Other prints I really like are chandeliers or bird cages.

Dresses like End of Immortal Eden by Alice and the Pirates are the perfect combination for me: Bird Cage AND flowers. I own the version from the pic and I love it to pieces ♥

What's your favourite print theme? Animals, books, chocolate etc or do you prefer non-print dresses?

Innocent World Tea Party (with pics)

I deleted the old entry and post this one with pics.
So this weekend was the Innocent World Tea Party in Vienna, organised by the Austrian Lolitas. I won't write about the whole trip here, if you have me on my private Livejournal, so can read about it there :)
I had to get up early because I was part of the fashion show. We presented the newest collection including the Rozen Maiden collaboration and coats. We arrived in time at the Hotel Stefanie and saw the location for the first time - really beautiful. They were doing the stalls, such as Dunkelsüß, Lady Sloth and of course - Innocent World. We did the fitting for our outfits. Although the dress was not my taste, I liked my outfit very much. It was the "Portraits from a Ruined Mansion" JSK in brown. After trying on our dresses, we learned the choreography. Time flew by and it was already time for the VIPs to enter the Party. I won a VIP ticket, so I stayed and got my goodie bag. I was so suprised because we all got Innocent World socks and hair ties! But also other stuff like jewelry or buttons from sponsors. I also bought a ticket for the raffle. Normally, I don't have any luck with raffles but I knew I'd win something, so I participated. And I hope the money helps to cover the expense of the event. :)
I bought another pair of socks but that's all. The IW prices were okay. Like the ones in the Japanese shop. No customs or whatever, really cool! But nothing attracted my attention that much. When the other girls were able to enter the venue, the IW stall was already almost sold out but our outfits from the fashion show were sold later, so there was more to shop then :)
I was quite busy because I had to change my outfit again for the fashion show. The buffet opened without me T_T But I was promised to get something later (promise was kept, they served the whole afternoon! Very positive. The buffet was so delicious. Kaiserschmarrn, Chocolate mousse and so on *-*)
The fashion show started, watch the whole show here:
I'm coming around 7:50 min.

Please click for better view. I relly liked the matching details like the headbow with the small portrait in it and the necklace with the same cross as the blouse.

This was our fashion show group with designer Yumi Fujiwara.
After the fashion show I quickly changed my outfit (again) and ran to the buffet *-* Soooo tasty!!!

This is just a small part of it!!
Then the acoustic set from Lolita KompleX started, it was my first time listening to their music ♥ The program points came quickly after another and the question and answer with Yumi Fujiwara started. I think designers always get the same questions asked. Age limit for example or favourite designs and so on. Miss Fujiwara was very nice and answered all the questions :) Right after that the raffle started and I won a bag with goods from Epitaph like jewelry. I was really happy with my prize ♥ Last programm point was the outfit contest. The girls who won looked like they came straight from an Innocent World catalogue! Congratulations!!  So the time was almost over. We took some pictures and then had to leave. The day was just way too short. =( But it was a wonderful event. I enjoyed it a lot and I'm sad that I wasn't able to talk with more girls. Hope I will be able to attend more events like this in the future :) Thanks to everyone who made this day so wonderful! I'm glad I was able to join you ♥
Some other pictures here: The pictures with the watermark were done by M.E. Fotografie. He also took the photos from the Utrecht event. The other ones were done by my friend Cindy!

My Outfit: I wore the red Charles Crown Onepiece be Innocent World, socks and a necklace by Alice and the Pirates, shoes from Secret Shop and a selfmade headpiece.

There were even five girls wearing Charles Crown but sadly the fifth girl was already gone that time.

And with cute Keika! It was the first time we met, she is so cute. We didn't have much time to talk...but to be honest I haven't talked with anybody very long. I'm so sad about it. Some girls I didn't even recognize. Now that I see their pictures on facebook I think: "You were there? Why haven't we talked?" But nevertheless I got to meet some girls I haven't seen before/ just know from Facebook.
Last picture: My goodies!!

I got everything for free or won it except for the right pair of socks. Cindy and I also won the Hanswurst Contest and got a goodie bag, too. This is our entry, you had to take silly pictures :D No problem for us! ;)

LBC: 3 secrets for someone just getting into Lolita

Sorry, haven't had the time to post a proper Japan post. Today, I will fly off to the next event. Hope there will be more time after the Innocent World Tea Party.

This week's Lolita Blog Carnival is:
Three secrets for someone who is just getting into Lolita

These aren't secrets at all, just tips ;)

(1) Read!
For German Lolitas, it's quite easy because we have the Dunkelsüß Community and the board on Animexx. But the international websites and boards are also handy. Almost every question you can think of, has already been answered. What about the shoe sizes of Bodyline? Where to buy a good petticoat? What about customs? Etc....before you make a new thread and ask something, try to look it up! If you can't find it on egl, Hello Lace, Lolibrary or whatever, then go ahead and ask. But it's very annoying to read the same questions over and over. All the communities have search functions. Please use them :)

(2) Invest money
A hobby costs money, most of the time lots of money! I don't say you need brand or something as expensive like this but if you want a proper Lolita outfit, please buy a good petticoat, a nice dress or blouse (I've seen beautiful blouses from Indie Brands for just 35 USD, custom size!), shoes and so on. If you buy a dress from h&m, shoes from Deichmann, wear normal knee-high-socks and a blouse from...whatever store is in your city, it won't look very lolita. If you are living in a normal city like me, you might find some loliable pieces from time to time but you also need something screaming "Lolita". When you have more sense for the Lolita style later, you will see what I mean. It will be easier to combine brand, off-brand and so on without looking too casual or normal.

(3) Stick to the guidelines
...or at least most of them. Like I said earlier, the sense for the fashion comes with more experience but if you say from the beginning "I don't need a petticoat for Lolita" or "I don't have to wear something under a JSK" then it won't make a good first impression. Lolita is a fashion with some guidelines and if you ignore them, there won't be anything lolita left. It doesn't have to be knee-high socks (or OTKs), tights are perfectly fine for example but bare legs without any socks is too far from what the fashion should look like.

We were all newbies once and we also did "mistakes" or asked a stupid question. I don't want to be mean or anything with his but it's something I see very often or have experienced it myself. At first I was too avaricious to buy a dress for 100€ or even more and wore offbrand from local stores. I still like my outfits from then but today my outfits look more Lolita because I wear clothes, specifically made for Lolita. That makes a huge difference.
But I wish all the new girls much fun with the fashion. Although some communities seem to be bitchy, you can meet beautiful people who can become your dearest friends ♥

LBC: 3 trends you could never get into

I'm back from my trip to Tokyo and before I blog about it, I will participate in this weeks. Lolita Blog Carnival:
Three trends you could never get into

Tea Party shoes

I don't like flat shoes for Lolita in general, I prefer the elegant/grown up style, so this is the total opposite for me. They make the people look small or even clumsy. Of course, they are comfortable because there is no heel but Lolita is about the look, not comfort ;)

Antlers headdress

"Lolita is not a costume" That's what we always say but antlers, really? How do you explain that? I also don't like bunny, cat ears or whatever animal stuff on the head for Lolita. But these are extra creepy because they look (and sometimes they even are) real. Ugh, no thanks!

(Colourful) OTT wigs

Another hard to-explain-thing when it comes to the "Lolita is not a costume" question. They just look fake and carnival-like. I also wear wigs, but in natural colours. The twin-tail style was also never my thing. And I'd say that the two trends were around the same time?

Little Birds Symphonia twin shoot preview

Yesterday Laura, Ina, Cindy and I wanted to make some photos. The whole morning and noon it was dizzy and rainy.. sometimes the sun came out but we weren't sure if we should make the photos x_x Around 2 PM we decided to go into the forest to take some photos. The original location will be shooted at another time.
Ina wore her beautiful brown Mary Magdalene onepiece and a matching beret. This classic style suits her so well ♥ Cindy and I wore our Little Birds Symphonia dresses, our ultimate twin dress ♥ The photos will be edited by Laura but in the meantime I can show you some previews I snapped from the camera's display. I can't wait to the real photos. We were really productive and some of the pics are really cool and funny. Angelic Pretty Zombies attack Mary Magdalene and stuff! I will make another post when I got them.
Thank you Laura for making the photos, they will be great ♥

After the shoot and dinner. I took half of my outfit off already :D

Next Saturday, the Rose Toilette meet-up takes place in Cologne! So looking forward to it, can't decide which one I should wear >_< red or black?

Royal Pony: Flower Princess

Sorry for not updating again! Nothing happened really until last weekend. Finally the Royal Pony "Flower Princess" meet-up got repeated. It was cancelled last time due to the weather. This time we had much luck, it was very sunny ♥ It took place at the Benrath castle where we already had many Lolita meetups :)

There was a baroque festival this weekend with many people in historical dresses, shows and stuff. It was very crowded but also interesting. Some people thought we also belonged to the event but well.. not really. But still many people asked for photos and my friends and I also were in the local newspaper (only online version)
First we had a picnic in the park with yummy food. Here a picture of me posing with one of Aimee's muffins :D Yummy!

We chatted a lot and there was an outfit contest as always. Everyone had a vote and six people gave me their vote and so I won *blush* I didn't feel that my outfit was special at all but some people liked it. I was so happy ♥ I won a pearl bracelet, it matches perfectly to my mint Rose Toilette. Thanks so much!
After that the group splitted to explore the event. The atmosphere was very nice with all the booths and decorations. There even was a falconry with cute owls *-* We sat down in another garden, relaxed a bit and took photos. Unfortunately the light was so bad (too dark or too sunny :D) and we had no reflector or something but some photos came out very nice.

Cindy and me ♥

with Aimee, our black flower princess that day ^_^

It was a wonderful day and I'm looking forward to the next Royal Pony meet-up ♥

And last but not least a funny picture :D
