Chocolate Museum in Cologne

Sorry for neglecting my blog again..my private life is chaotic atm, so I'm not in the mood for weekly blog challenges BUT I attended a meetup some time ago and I want to show you the pictures!
Although I don't live that far away, I never visited the Chocolate Museum in Cologne. This time, there was a Lolita meetup, so perfect timing to wear my new Chocolate Rosette JSK.
I'm not the type of person who likes to visit museums. I think it's boring to read all the boards and look at things behind glass cases. But there were still some interesting things. You could see the production of small chocolate bars and taste freshly-made chocolate from a fountain - yummy! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures from that day. Although we wanted to make a group shot, we missed it...like always :(
The visit at the museum was quite funny: Because of our (mostly chocolated themed) outfits, many people thought we belong to the museum and asked when our show will begin. One woman also said we were lying because we said we were there privately :'D
After the meetup we went to an Asian restaurant. The food was really good and the owners also gave us some sushi for free - so nice! The restaurant was so small that we all filled it. No place left for other guests ^^"
So all together it was a nice day! The museum itself was not soooo exciting for me but it was good I was there finally. Here are just a few pictures of....me. And Cindy ^_^ (thought it was even more boring so see pictures of pictures :D)

with two of the Lindt mascots. The chocolate that they produce at the museum is also by Lindt.
With the Milka cow. Milka is another famous German chocolate brand!
Full outfit show together with Cindy at the restaurant
Another shot from the museum at an old "shop" that sold chocolate.

Hope I will find more time to blog in the future. See you ♥

Hi Barbie!

Last weekend I visited my best friend Cindy at her home, we had a fun weekend! On Saturday we attended a little meetup in Siegburg. Loopy organized this and the theme was "Barbie" because we visited a Barbie exhibition at the museum. There was no dresscode, even Lolita was not necessary but we all ended up wearing pink, haha :D
Unfortunately the exhibition was reeeaaally small, just two bigger glass displays with many Barbies in it and a few signs to read. I thought it was quite boring because I expected something more but the entrance fee was just 1€ so it was okay. We could have also visited the rest of the museum but we wanted to visit the abbey, too so we were done already after half an hour...

Military Barbie!

Obviously Barbie prefers McDonalds over Burger King :D
There were also many dolls I recognized from my own childhood.. Good old times :')

Our group photo with Cindy, me, Hadaly (her outfit is handmade/painted!), Savannah, Miuko and Loopy. Her boyfriend took this picture and later also played photographer at the abbey - thank you for this!

The abbey is on a hill and we were soooo exhausted when we were on top. Unfortunately we took the wrong staircase and were on the side of the abbey that was under construction. But we found a photo place nevertheless.

We got attacked by these chestnuts D: On hit me on my shoulder, I still felt the pain three days later, ouch! So yeah.. autumn is here. The weather is already very unsettled but we were very lucky last Saturday. The sun was shining and it was quite warm ♥

This is me wearing my new Brigitte JSK by Angelic Pretty. I love this vest style!

It's just a picture taken with my cellphone camera but the filter makes it so autumn~y ♥

Our organizer: Cute Loopy!

Again Cindy and me. I made her coordinate for that day because she had no inspiration. It went out really well, right? ^_^
My outfit rundown is
dress & socks: Angelic Pretty
blouse: 69th department
shoes: Secret Shop

After that we went to the city and ate cake, ice and waffles at a café. It was a wonderful day. Because of the few people, it was easier to talk with everyone and I enjoyed the day a lot ♥

Castle & Princesses

Last Saturday, there was finally a meetup again. We had maaaaany meetups at the pink Benrath castle in Düsseldorf but we never actually visited the castle itself. You can take several guided tours through the castle with different focus. We had the "basic" tour and it was reaaaaally interesting. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to show you pictures from inside the castle but there are some pictures on the official homepage if you're interested. I learned that a part of the castle burned down many years ago, I didn't know there even was another building there. You felt that our tourguide was really into all this and explained many interesting facts to us. He also liked our outfits although he was color blind. So all in all it was a lovely idea to visit the inside of Benrath castle after visiting the garden grounds for so many years.
Unfortunately the rest of the meetups was a little chaotic but it was not all fault of the organizers. We were too many people to reserve tables at a café or restaurant and not all of the participants of the meetup took the guided tour. So there was so real date to meet after the tours were over and we couldn't take a real group picture ;_; I would have loved to show you all the beautiful ladies from our local community! We splitted up and some of us took a train back to the city and ate there. I was very happy with my company but also missed some of the other girls. Hope next time will be more manageable for the organizers.

I twinned with lovely Aimee for the first time! We planned to do this about a year ago and finally managed to twin - yay! Except for the rings our outfits matched perfectly together, I am very happy with the result, haha :D

My ring came just in time for the meetup! I stopped the postman on my way to the trainstation and asked him if there was anything for me - yes! Success!!

Our third Chess Chocolate girl Meri. Look at her art page tentaclething! She is soo talented!

Julie was our special guest that day! She came from Hamburg and it was sooo nice to meet her again!

We snapped a small mirror picture in the castle
Cindy's outfit was mermaid themed! She decorated her bonnet with shells and had a matching shell bag - so creative!

Hope you like the pictures! What do you when you meetup? Visit a museum or take a guided tour someplace, too? Or just meetup and chat/eat? Let me know, please! I'm always open for new ideas for meetups! :)

Candy Day in Rothenburg

Part 2 of my Lolita weekend report in Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Bavaria). We met at the market place and maaaany people asked us the usual questions, took photos etc. Some even knew us from the newspaper article. We were divided in two groups and had a guided tour through the city. I didn't find it that interesting. I prefer guided tours through castles where you learn something about the people who lived there and not the architecture for example. But there were some interesting facts and we saw many beautiful places.

Isn't it cute? The whole historic center is landmarked and so the buildings all look so pretty ♥
Cindy, Aimee and me
After the tour was over, we visited the Käthe Wohlfahrt christmas shop but I was absolutely not in the mood for christmas music and decoration. Aimee found a super pretty rocking horse, could be from Angelic Pretty, right? Meanwhile, I took a seat at the hotel where we ate lunch:

My camera isn't good enough to take decent pictures of the food at bad light so here is the menu. The illustration on the postcard was done by Tentaclething. She is so talented! There was also an outfit contest and Natalie, a girl who sat next to me, won with her awesome classic coordinate! She deserved it ♥ There was also a raffle and OMG!! I won something again. I broke the curse somehow. I won the Juliette et Justine catalogue with the Rothenburg pics, so cool!

This is a picture of all I got from the whole weekend! ♥♥♥♥

After the lunch we took photos. Some of the pictures are done by ME. Fotografie, Freitagsgasse 1, 98617 Meiningen. You can identify them because of the ME watermark.

Our group picture ♥ Again, everyone looked so pretty!
Cindy and I wore our pefect Romantic Rose Letter coordinate. Perfect because we twinned every little detail (except for an underskirt :D)

dress + socks: Angelic Pretty * bags: Loris * blouse: The Floral Notebook * bonnets: made my me

Our matching rings by Baby! Cindy gave the silver one to me as a birthday present!

Like the day before, there were other girls wearing RRL. So we took a group picture together.

You can click on the group pictures for a better view! Ami, Lisa, May, Cindy and me

I enjoyed the day a lot but we had to leave quite early because we were afraid of more traffic jams. I had to work the next day but it took two hours less than two days before! Phew, so I was already home at 10 o'clock (I suspected to be at home after midnight..)

My conclusion of the weekend: It was aweeeeesome!! The people are awesome, the program was good, the food was delicious and I had much fun. I'm sad some of the cool people live far away from me but it's even more fun to hang out with them at such an event. Looking forward to next year ♥

Nice view!

Many girls in my local community complain about too few meetups. Sometimes, I do this, too. So I decided to organise a meetup with my best friend Cindy. The last meetups we visited the same placed and did picnics. I'm not a huge fan of picnics and the parcs and are always the same. This is why we chose to visit the Rheinturm in Düsseldorf. It's the television tower and you can visit the platform at 168m height. It has been a looong time ago since I visited the tower for the last time. I was a small kid and my Dad wanted to show me Düsseldorf from above.
"Unfortunately" the weather was TOO nice (+30°C) and many people who have promised to come, canceled the meetup one day earlier. I was very sad and upset about it. So in the end we were only FIVE people. One week earlier, there were around twelve.
We met up at the main station and of course many people wanted to take photos and some even asked if we were famous. Hahahaha no, sorry :D But they wanted to take pictures anyway. I asked a waiting woman to take a picture of us and she agreed. Same as always: The feet are cut off! Random people are not capable of taking decent group pictures.

Ina, Himecookie, Arina, Cindy and me
Cindy and I wore Rose Toilette, we were the orga twins :D Arina wore her self designed Bodyline dress and looked beautiful in shiro. Himecookie wore a lightblue x white coordinate with a pretty floral dress by Innocent World and Ina rocked Kodona in the heat!

We had a beautiful view over Düsseldorf and it's harbor! Because of the heat outside, we decided to sit down in the tower and talked. It was a very nice atmosphere you can only achieve in small meetups like this.

Very important: a fan! But the air conditiong was on, it felt good to sit there and relax.

Twin selfie!
After that we ate something proper (Sushi for the other girls -> very Japanese and baked potatoe for me -> very German!) and had smoothies and frozen yogurt as a dessert. Thankfully the other places we went to had air conditiong, too!

Café TenTen, the place to be!
Back at the main station, we took selfies again before parting.

It was a very nice day, I enjoyed it a lot especially after feeling sad the evening before. Thanks to the girls who braved the heat and came to the meetup - you rock! Always harcore!!

Last but not least, I want to show you my outfit from that day. It was very simple and just a set but I liked it very much.

My red Rose Toilette set by Angelic Pretty! Still one of my favorite dresses! Hope you like it as much as I do ^_^

What did you do at the hottest day of the year (at least in Germany...)? Not wearing Lolita, I guess ;D

Japan Day 2014

Last Saturday, there was the annual Japan Day in Düsseldorf. It was the 10th time for me visiting this event :) It's always a very crowded and stressful event but it's always in my agenda, there's no way NOT visiting the JDay :D

I excuse myself beforehand for my choice of shoes. I had my real shoes for the outfit in my bag the whole time. I just put them on for a few photos at the end of the day. My feet would have hurt too much with them. So I only wear flats on all the pictures ^^"

We met up at the main station where we met May, who is a maid in the Lucky Chocolate Maid Café.

The maids had a performance on the main stage later! Of course we watched it, it was super cute, you can watch it here. (but beware: the sound is awful D:)
Then we headed to Space Burgers where we wanted to eat but on our way, we met several people, for example the lovely Lolitas from Saarland.

We chose the burger restaurant because the stalls at the Japan Day are always sooo crowded and very expensive and Aimee isn't a big fan of Japanese food, so American style burgers for us :)
Then we entered the area of the Japan Day and watched the Taiko Kids and maid dance on the main stage. It was beautiful weather, the sun was shining, for some people it was already too hot but for me it was perfect! Last year it was raining some time but this time we had much luck ♥
After that we met many other friends and people we barely see. I can't upload all the photos, it would be too much, so here are just some ^_^

With Cindy, Laura in an Amnesia cosplay, Alina, Ina, Laura and Carmen

Again with Cindy and Alina and Pingu-chan, Cindy's new sidekick :D She bought it at one of the stalls :)

It was sooo good to meet all the people, I was very happy about it! So sad we are spread all over Germany but this is why I love events like this :)

Like every year, it was very crowded but I had the feeling it was better than last year. Maybe because all the people sat on the meadows and enjoyed the sun instead of visting the stalls.

This is Reika, a very famous cosplays from Japan. To be honest, I didn't know her before Japan Day, but many people I know adore her. You were able to take photos with her (10€ with instax) and get an autograph (2€) Because I don't hype her, I just took this paparazzi snapshot ^^"

This is my favorite picture from the day. Because my outfit was some mix of soldier and stewardess, I wanted to take a picture with these guys. They were bronies actually, so we called them broldiers :D

When the stalls closed, we used the last minutes before sundown to take some pictures but I don't have them until now. I hope, I can show them later. But I already got two pictures from a lovely girl we met the same time. Her nickname is Deelit.
<
It was the best Japan Day I ever had, and this was my 10th time visiting this event! The weather was pefect, I met almost all the people I like and wanted to see, I liked my outfit and I've seen the stalls and some shows at the stage. We played Attack on Titan cosplay bingo, too. Every time you see a AoT cosplay, you scream "BINGO!" I have no idea who won but we all had many points :D The Free Hugs signs don't seem to be out yet, there were maaaaany people holding them... I never understood this trend :D
So here is my outfit again: (picture by Kuno Liesegang but I edited it, too)

Outfit rundown:
dress: Metamorphose
socks: Alice and the Pirates
blouse: 69th department

hat/beret: selfmade (by my mom :3)
gloves: vintage (from my grandma :D)
jewelry: no name

Hope you liked it ^_^ Comments are always appreciated - thanks in advance ♥

Cherry blossoms & Lolitas

Another late post about a meetup I attended last month on the 19th!! But before the next events come up, I have to post about the old ones. Soooo the theme was "cherry blossoms" ♥ We met in a park and had a picnic. It was one of the first warm spring days although it was windy some time. I chose my pink Lady Rose minisleeve JSK for this day. After wearing so much classic and solid colored dresses, I needed some PINK and a print. I have never worn this much pink in a coord.
After we ate our food and chatted a bit, Cindy, Laura and I strolled through the north park in Düsseldorf for some photos. Unfortunately there weren't any cherry blossoms but many other flowers ♥
Please click on the pictures for full view ^_^

At first a back view :D Normally, I wear my hair open with curls but this day I decided for an updo .

Here is a better with from the day I styled the wig :)

A portrait of me

Cindy wearing her Blooming Flowers dress by Baby the stars shine bright

After that we joined the other for more photos :)

Ina and Alina

Alina and me, it's my favorite photo from that day

And Laura our photographer. Please visit her facebook page and like it!

I also edited two pictures but Laura took the photos

I also like this picture a lot ♥

A shot where you can see more accessory details ^_^

Here is also my outfit rundown:
dress: Lady Rose by Angelic Pretty
socks: Secret Shop
shoes: Antaina
wristcuffs: Bodyline
accessory: no name

After we finished with taking photos, we talked a little bit more and headed back towards the city where we ate in a Chinese restaurant and drank delicious smoothies at Café TenTen. It was a wonderful day! I hope there will be more meetups like this in the summer ♥
