Review: The Floral Notebook - My Beloved Empress blouse (positive)

Some time ago, I found the indie brand "The Floral Notebook" (why does she just has 545 likes? The stuff is beautiful! Go and like!) from Vietnam on Facebook and fell in love with the chiffon blouses, especially the My Beloved Empress one.
You can make them custom-size and the range of colors to choose from is soooo wide! But for my Romantic Rose Letter coord I simply chose white.
So here is the ordering process:
Dec 22nd 2013 - wrote a private message on Facebook with my wishes
Dec 23rd 2013 - got message back with an order form (excel sheet) where I have to put in my measurements. Sent it back the same day
Dec 24th 2013 - got message that she can't connect to PayPal at the moment but she will already start with the blouse, it would take 7-10 days to finish
Dec 30th 2013 - got invoice and message that blouse was almost finished
Dec 31st 2013 - paid
Jan 4th 2014 (Sat) - blouse was done, she wanted to ship it out the next Monday
Jan 7th 2014 (Tue) - she messaged me that she forget the package and was terribly sorry for not sending it like she promised. Busy with school and so on. Would ship on friday. If I wanted, I could have gotten proof pics but didn't want to. I was not in a hurry to get the blouse so no problem for me ^^
Jan 10th 2014 (Fri) - she sent it and I got a tracking number
Jan  25th 2014 - blouse arrived safely at my home. It was already in Germany on the 18th but customs are sooo slow sometimes >_<

This is how the package looked like, a normal envelope. 

And inside the blouse was wrapped in a plastic bag.

And this is the blouse. I have to say, that it is quite long but I guess it's my fault because I gave the measurements like this but the blouse fits very nicely around the bust and waist (critical parts^^)

The quality is very nice, the chiffonis soft and the seams are very accurate. No loose threads or something! Very professional! I paid USD 52 in total with shipping. That's a good price because it's even cutsom-size.

Conclusion:
All in all I have to say, that ordering from The Floral Notebook was very easy and the owner is a very nice and helpful girl. I will definitely keep an eye on their designs and buy from them again because the quality is also very good.

Worst timing ever

January is always an expensive month, I have to pay my car insurance and the electricty bill comes in..etc.
But January is also the month of Sale and obviously the month of beautiful new prints.

 

At first I bought the super cute Pullip Midori. Next thing is, that I reserved a shopping service spot for Romantic Rose Letter when I saw the Kera scans. At first, I wanted to buy the special set and then gave the spot to a Lolita friend of mine and chose the purple JSK with the beautiful lace collar.

So next thing I saw was the "Girlie Stuff" print my Metamorphose. I LOVE it!! Especially the halter neck JSK but because I already "bought" the new Angelic Pretty release, I ignored it and just put it on my mental wishlist.

After that, I saw the Leopolda Onepiece from Innocent World up for reservation. Love at first sight, really. The green colorway is my absolute favorite BUT it's hard to find matching accessory, so I reserved the brown colorway.

And last but not least: The re-release of Rose Dress Up from Angelic Pretty. The first release was also a love at first sight but I decided not to buy it and try to get it second hand - I failed. But now there is also a red colorway and red is my absolute favorite color *-*

Lolita Goddess, you hate me, right? Do you have to release all of this beautiful stuff almost at the same time?
But I decided to sell some dresses and other stuff, so there won't be a big hole in my wallet after I bought them because yes...I got the Rose Dress Up JSK, too. The fabric is so beautiful and in red, it is nonplusultra. I can't wait to coordinate it with my new blouse and stuff *-* It's already in my head. Also the other coords for Leopolda and RRLetter. I think that's always a good sign, right?
Last weekend I saw the Angelic Pretty Online Shop Sale.. I was too late for everything I would have wanted. I think that's okay. I already have three fantastic new dresses and I can't wait to wear them!!
Don't worry about my financial situation. I have a full time job and I won't buy too much that I can't pay bills ;)

Review: SpreePicky / Sailor Moon Pullover

Not really Lolita related but the store also offers Lolita items, so I will post my review about SpreePicky. SpreePicky belongs to TaoBaoSpree, which is also the Taobao Shopping Service I trust.
On November 29th I bought the Sailor Moon sweater and paid via Paypal. It was $42.99 and because of a coupon code, I paid $38.70 in total.
It was a pre-order so the item was shipped on December 15th.
My friend who ordered it the same day got it on December 21st, I fetched it at my local custom office on January 2nd but that's not SpreePicky's fault.
It was in a SpreePicky shopping bag and in an bubble-wrapped envelope. I even got a small present, a hair tie and a 5% voucher for my next order.


It's onesize and pretty big. Oversized for casual/cute looks. It's really warm and cosy and I simple love it ♥

The print has some minor printing mistakes but I didn't expect a high-end quality product ;)

What I got in July

Here is my "What I got" post for July. Totally forgot to post it! I try to not buy that much stuff anymore because I will be in Tokyo next month but it's hard to stay away from the sales comms >_< But I only expect one package to come at the moment and that's only socks. *proud*


The first thing I released from customs was my new Btssb bag. I love it! Wanted to have a metallic heart bag directly after I saw the release *_* it matches my Blooming Flower JSK perfectly

Then my Fleur Antoinette OP. Maybe you know that I had the same version and traded it against the mint Rose Toilette but then I saw it at Closet Child again and bought it....again. I was so angry at myself that I sold it. It's such a lovely piece

Most sinful thing I bought in July: Charles Crown Onepice by Innocent World. I didn't want to buy anything so expensive before Tokyo but this was just: See - love - hesitate - BUY!!!! It's so pretty. I will wear it a the IW tea party in October. By the way: I was chosen (by Yumi Fujiwara!!) to be a part of the IW fashion show at the event. I feel so honored and can't wait for it °^°

And last but not least my Secret Shop short boots. I have the same shoes in red already but they are so worn that I decided to buy them again before they are damaged and then sold out. I got them in brown, too because it matches to many of my outfits :) This pic doesn't do them justice. I wore the red ones here for example

Lolita stuff I got in June

This is the Lolita stuff I got in June ♥

Three pairs of socks: Angelic Pretty, Alice and the Pirates and Innocent World. The first two I got for Chess Chocolate (now I have 5 matching pairs for that dress,haha),the third one with the dress.

This one here, my first Innocent World dress! It's really pretty, I looove Innocent World collars, other brands have often the same styles. Maybe one day I can trade it for the navy version. But for now I will wear it with the socks, my ivory Vero Mode blouse and brown Secret Shop short boots. Already had a coord in mind when I bought it :D

Finally, Rose Toilette in mint. I love the Onepiece style in mint. I traded it against my Mary Magdalene Fleur Antoinette. I'm quite sad it's gone but this is also one of my dream dresses *_*

I also got the matching bonnet, hm.. I don't really need it, nor like it because I feel like a big baby with bonnets but maybe I will wear it for the next Rose Toilette meet up.

Okay, it's not so pretty in this picture but trust me, it's reaaaaaally cute with flower lace and nice chiffon fabric.

Unfortunately two events have been cancelled: The Royal Pony today due to shitty "summer" here in Germany and the Paris trip, maybe I already told you? Now I have holidays for three weeks and won't go anywhere except for the Kawaii Weekend in Utrecht. Hope this will be fun, Misako and RinRin will be there...omg what should I wear? Haha

Lolita stuff I got in May

I bought pretty much last month :x But it makes me happy ♥ Some pieces are still on their way, they will be included in the June post then ^-^

Btssb Blooming Flower JSK Was love at first sight when it came up in the shop, I would love to have the blue version, maybe I'll find it some day!

AATP Queens Coach OP Yeaaah! Finally got it for a good price, it was always too expensive for my taste. It's really beautiful. I hope I get the matching socks and a cute bag ^-^

Pink AP Blouse My first brand blouse, hard to belive, right? ^^" I prefer OPs over JSKs but I have some, so I needed another blouse and picked this. It's really cute ♥

Lolita stuff I bought in April/ Antaina Review

I didn't get much in April, nothing to be honest because I ordered the following shoes in March and fetched them from customs today but I will count them for April ;D If not, the post would be empty.

 

I sent a mail on March 23rd to Yoyo, the international customer service. I got a reply the same day with the prices in USD dollar including my preferred shipping method (registered airmail).

After talking about sizes, I paid on March 26th and got a mail that they will inform me when the package was shipped. They said they need 10 working days to finish my shoes.

On April 15th I asked about an update of my order because I haven't heard from them since the end of March. April 17th, I got a mail back with the tracking number and a note that it was sent out on April 8th.

On Tuesday (April 30th) I got the a letter from customs and today I released them from there ;D

I was SHOCKED when the woman from customs gave me the package. It was a damaged shoe box with just a transparent plastic bag around it.

I already threw away the plastic bag.



Inside the box, everything was okay - phew!! After paying a small fee, I got my shoes and tried them on. I bought size 37 which is 23,5cm. The blue shoes fit totally fine, are even a bit too big and the pink shoes are a little bit too small but I think I can live with it. I measured the foot in-length and it's both 23cm (still 0,5cm too small from what they have to be) Maybe it's the cut that one fits and the other one doesn't? Two of my friends had the same problem with the pink shoes.

Both shoes look okay, the ribbons look a bit loose but are sewed on, I hope there will be no problem.

At the moment, I can't say it they are comfortable because I haven't worn them for more than a minute. But the heels are not that high, I will be ok ;D

Pink shoes and Blue shoes. They look like the ones in the pictures, so no problem there. I paid 29,67 USD for a pair.

So all in all, my conclusion is mixed. The shoes are okay for the price but the customer service is not sooo good, the packaging could have been much better!! Measurements are not correct, like I said, friends of mine had the same problem. So better order a size bigger and if they are too big, you can use soles ^_^

Lolita stuff I bought in March

I collected my Lolita stuff I bought in March for one post ^_^

I bought the first piece/set in February already but got it in March. It's the black Rose Toilette JSK with matching bonnet and canotier. My dream is to have the pink JSK and the mint OP, too! No skirts, please ;D But I think I will be Lolita for a little longer so I still have time left to collect them ^-^

But the bonnet is already sold to Nora (visit her public blog, too!) I will only keep the canotier :)

Next is this blouse I bought off ebay. It's also cute for casual looks but I want to wear it with Lolita, too:

I bought this Metamorphose dress from Closet Child. Black dresses are always hard to show but trust me, it's gorgeous. Velvet and chiffon with cameo buttons, lovely ♥ But I won't wear it in the near future because I hope weather will be better so I can wear my flower printed dresses ;D



This is the last Lolita item from March, it was in my TaoBao order. At first, I had a long-sleeved blouse, too but it had the same colour as this one and I wanted another one which was sold out. (But my shopping service didn't tell me -_- But I got a refund) It's really pretty and I want it in all available colours :D
