Animagic '13

This weekend the Animagic took place in Bonn. I was part of the Lolita fashion again so I was able to join the Animagic. I haven't been there for a few years so I was quite surprised that there weren't so many people but nevertheless I had a very nice day. I met new people and talked a lot with some I don't meet very often ♥
Unfortunately I don't have many photos yet but I think you can get an impression. It was very hot/humid that day and the theme of the fashion show was BLACK. Well yeah.. I survived ^^°
I didn't take much photos because I just had my cell phone with me, so...sorry D:

This is Nora and Charlotte who were the hardcore Dunkelsüss booth shop girls! It was very hot in their tent but they also survived still looking good.

The plasticpop booth. This is the German reseller for Pullips, Dals etc. I have three dolls myself and I try to not buy more but they are soooo lovely ♥ One of my girls (Yeolume Podo) also wears Lolita, the Lotta set by Innocent World ♥

Me and my beloved Betty Cindy. She looks like a Betty with the short hair and red lips, right? ;D You've seen my outfit in the preparations post before so no further explanation is needed I think. I look like a witch in the picture with the hat, I like it. hahahaha :D

I also visited the Strawberry Sundae Maid Cafe where my cute friend May was our maid. It was very funny. We also talked about joining a maid cafe but I dunno if I should really do this. It seems to be much fun and you meet maaaaany new people. I have to think about it...
The only thing I bought is a necklace with a Sailor Mars sceptre. She is my all time favourite senshi ♥

So another (Lolita) event is over. Can't wait for the next one ♥

Animagic preparations

This weekend, there will be another big Anime/Manga/Japan convention in Germany, the Animagic. This year, there will be another fashion show powered by Dunkelsüss with the theme "black". Perfect timing because at the moment we have around 30°C here every day ^^" I'm happy to say that I can participate in the fashion show again. I will wear my shadow jumper by Aterlier Pierrot that I bought last year in New York. Wish I was there right now...my vacations are already over and today was my first day at work again. But I'm looking forward to my next holidays in September when I will go to Tokyo ♥ Can't wait for it!!!!
Back to the Animagic... on friday I will go to my best friends house, she lives close to the venue and will have a sleepover there. On Saturday we will go to the Ani and participate in the fashion show together ♥

This is the picture I sent for the model application :) I loooove the dress to pieces, I'm glad I saw it last minute in the Tokyo Rebel shop window (and bought it ;D) Although I'm not that into gothic right now, I'm glad I can wear this dress again. But the next outfit will be floral again ♥

Kawaii Weekend preparations

Finally, summer has come to Germany! I have holidays, too so I'm very happy with it. Like I said before, two respectively three events were cancelled: The Rose Toilette meetup and Royal Pony because of the rain and the whole Paris trip because our boyfriends had to work. Because of this, I'm totally looking forward to the upcoming events!
This weekend, there will be the Kawaii Weekend in the Netherlands with Misako and RinRin for example. I will be wearing two or even three different outfits. I hope I will have time to change on Saturday!
My first outfit will be the AATP Queen's Coach OP in ivory, I'm wearing this for the tea party, for the after party and the outfit contest, I will wear my brown Chess Chocolate bustier dress, it's one of my favourite dresses/outfits. The third outfit for the picnic on Sunday will be my fluffy frill halterneck JSK in red by Angelic Pretty. I hope the socks arrive in time!!
Because my other coords are not finished (socks or bag are still missing) I can only show you my Chess Chocolae outfit for Saturday evening.

The blouse and socks are ivory, hard to capture with the sunlight. The outfit is a bit of brand, offbrand and handmade but to be honest, I have no idea if the bag is a replica? Never seen this (Lolibrary doesn't have something similar) and bought it second hand.

I hope the weather will be nice, not too hot ♥ Are you also attending? Hope to meet some of you there! ^_^

Conventions in May

First of all: The Rose Toilette Meetup was cancelled =( So many people backed out and the weather was pretty bad so we had to cancel it. But there will be a new date, maybe in August. Hope the weather will be better and more people are able to attend.
But I visited Dokomi (18th) and Japan Day (25th). My friends May and Selaya made a Lolita panel including a runway show. Here you can see the full fashion show:

But as you can see, I wore my Fleur Antoinette coord once again. Now the dress is gone, I traded it against the Rose Toilette OP in mint (3/4 complete)
We made some photos is a picture booth by manga-cafe.net. It was much fun ^_^ At that time, I already changed my shoes, my feet hurt so much.

It was a very nice and sunny day.....compared to Japan Day. It was windy, rainy and pretty cold sometimes >_< We left early after dinner but before we strolled along the Rhine promenade. I wore my Victorian Queen OP by Victorian Maiden. I really love it ♥ I hope I can wear it again, soon because I didn't get really good pictures with it (and most of the time I wore a cardigan)

We met some people we don't see very often so it was a good day. Cindy and I watched the fireworks on TV because we were too cold to wait in the rain. Hopefully we can attend next year again.

Many cool events will come up, for example Royal Pony and the Kawaii Weekend in Utrecht (we need luck at buying the tickets...again ^^") If everything works out, this summer will be AWESOME. Unfortunately we won't be able to go to Paris as we planned it =( But there will be other cool events ♥

Lolita fashion shows

During the last years, Lolita fashion shows have become quite popular at conventions. For example Candy Day has made a fashion show at Connichi 2012 or Dunkelsüss at the Japan Day or art museum Bonn. Somestimes, there's also a panel where the Lolita styles are shown in detail. This year, there will be a Lolita panel and fashion at the Dokomi convention in Düsseldorf. Two friends of mine are planning this and they are still looking for models!

Die Convention Zeit steht vor der Tür und somit auch die Dokomi in Düsseldorf! Im Rahmen dieses Events planen wir, das sind Angelic-Kitty und Selaya, für den 18.05. einen Vortrag mit eingebundener Modenschau und anschließender Fragerunde für das Publikum.

Für die Modenschau suchen wir deswegen noch viele zuverlässige Models, die die Mode mit Freude auf einer großen Bühne (immerhin ca. 13 Meter!) präsentieren möchten. Wir wollen versuchen ein wirklich breites Spektrum der Stile vorzustellen - auch hinsichtlich deren Entwicklung, d.h. wir suchen Oldschool Lolitas und jene, die die aktuellen Trends repräsentieren. Voraussichtlich wird die Show gegen frühen Nachmittag stattfinden, die Models sollten jedoch auch gegen Mittag eine halbe Stunde Zeit haben, um die Abläufe zu besprechen.

Habt ihr Interesse? Dann schickt uns eure Bewerbung mit Fotos von euren Outfitvorschlägen (gerne auch mehrere, teilt uns aber ruhig die Präferenz mit), eurem Alter und Namen/Nickname an lolita-dokomi@web.de der Einsendeschluss ist der 24.03.2013. Bitte seht von Replicas ab. Selfmade, indiebrands sind genauso gern gesehen wie die großen Labels.

Leider kann uns die Organisation nicht für alle Models Freikarten zur Verfügung stellen. Somit sind jene im Vorteil, die uns schon mitteilen können, dass sie bereit wären sich selbst Tickets zu kaufen. Mit den Organisatoren der Dokomi haben wir in dieser Hinsicht schon über Sonderkonditionen gesprochen und wir können den Models rabattierte Karten zum Kauf anbieten.
