It was raining like CRAZY! The worst day during my vacations (weather-wise). I didn't know what to do that day. For the evening, I was meeting up with a friend from Germany but she was stuck in university, so no Sailor Moon cafe for me :(
So what to do on a rainy day? Visit the owl cafe and the planetarium in Sunshine City! I made an appointment the evening before (you need to reserve a time frame at Ikefukuro) and everything worked very well. I took two pairs of shoes with me. The new ones I bought a day earlier from Axes Femme and some shoes from home. Both were soaking wet when I arrived at the cafe and the rest of me, too. Umbrellas were quite useless because the rain came from all sides.
But when I entered the cafe (cafe is the wrong word, it's just a room with owls), everything was forgotten. OH MY GOD! It was a very small room and all kinds of owls were lined up around the walls and the middle of the room. Of course it's not good for the animals. They aren't able to fly and have to sit around all day long. I felt very sorry for them but I tried to ignore it and just enjoy the cuteness of the birds.
They gave a short security instruction (for me in English in written form) and then you were able to pet the owls and take pictures. They were so soft and nice and beautiful *v*
After an hour, I had to leave again and headed towards Sunshine City for the planetarium but well..again...my bad luck. It was CLOSED. dunnn dunnn duuuuunnnn
So I looked around Sunshine City shopping area and bought new shoes because like I said before, mine were soaking! They were super cheap on sale and had platform soles - perfect! I also bought a pretty maxi skirt in a cute little mori-like shop.
Then, I ate super delicious ramen and some icecream. Because some trains already stopped running, I decided to go back to the hotel. A friend of mine, who is working in Japan, asked me out for a drink, so we met up in a small little rock bar in Ikebukuro. I drank delicious cocktails and we talked a lot and catched up a bit.
All my days were packed with acitivties except for this one. I felt like wasting time but I didn't know what to do during the rain. But still, it was a nice day, just not so exciting like other ones, maybe.
This was my last day with the rail pass, so I decided to go to Yokohama because the train fare is a little bit more expensive and I'd save money with my pass.
It's very easy to get there from Ikebukuro, a line is directly going there. The last time I was there with Cindy, we got lost and ended up in the Nissan showroom. This time, I got a little lost, too but then the Closet Child sign appeared in front of me and I knew where to go! I bought a pair of shoes and a dress at Closet Child. I like the Yokohama shop :) It's my second favorite after Harajuku's! Then, I wanted to go to Vivre and yeah...my bad luck again. All the Lolita floors were under construction!! D: So I shopped a little bit at Donki and bought some beauty stuff. After that, I took the train to China Town. It was very nice to see the chinese buildings but to be honest, it was quite boring, too. The shops looked all the same and had the same stuff...
So I took the train back to Tokyo and visited the Shinjuku CC again without any luck. Then, I finally got my beloved Udon noodles in Sunshine City *o* I should have eaten them more often. Soo cheap and delicious!!
In the late evening, I met up with Sashi and some of her friends in an Izakaya. We had a very nice view from there and it was a funny evening. Her Japanese friends asked many questions and their English was very good! After the Izakaya, we drank something at a pub and I took a late train home. It was a great evening.

The typhoon was heading towards our direction and it was raining non stop!! This day (Day 8), Nostique and I had a second hand shopping/hunting date. We met in Japan before in 2013 and she is still living there, so we met up and she showed me the secret not-so-secret second hand stores in Shimo Kitazawa. It was so nice talking to her and she was very patient and showed me the best shops where they had super cheap Liz Lisa, Tralala and Lolita stuff. The even showed me Grand Bazaar because I didn't know they had a physical store. I bought quite some stuff. There was a veeeery old classic Angelic Pretty OP (for 2000 Yen!) but I passed because I didn't know how to put it all in my suitcase and how to combine it. Now I regret it :( It was a floral print, very pretty.
We also ate a lot that day. I ate my first doria (OMG SO DELICIOUS!), then gyoza and super delicious red velvet waffles.
Although it was raining, she came with me to Shinjuku and Harajuku afterwards. In Shinjuku, she showed me the Maiden Clothing store (didn't know it existed...) and we shopped a bit at the Closet Childs. Unfortunately, Usagiyouhinten was closed again :( We also took Purikura in the game center and I was very happy to meet her again. It was a wonderful day and I am very thankful that she was so kind to me and showed me everything ♥
We passed by an animal shop. I think you have already heard of those shops in Japan. They sell super cute little kittens and dogs. They live in very small glass boxes like this cutie here. It's heartbreaking.Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-26289756203049595492015-10-26T10:42:00.001-07:002015-10-26T10:42:22.859-07:00Shipping tipsThis post may not apply to your countries post system. But maybe some of the information does help you to improve your online sales.
Sometimes, shipping can be very expensive, especially when you want to ship with insurance to another continent. Some potential buyers withdraw from a purchase when they see the shipping costs. Here are some tips that may (!) help to reduce the shipping costs.
I write about the system here in Germany, so maybe there isn't anything similar in your country but here are some small tricks that can help to save money.

Compare the providers
Here in Germany we have the German Post/DHL which is the main business who puts the mean invoices in your letterbox. But there are also Hermes, DPD, GLS. It depends on what you want to send but sometimes, the price is less when you send it with another provider.
For smaller items, you can use the XS-package from Hermes, for example, which is only 3,89€! (insurance up to 50€ within Germany)

Check online offers
DHL, for example, has an online-only offer which includes a 2kg (a dress doesn't weigh more than that) package with insurance within Germany. You can't get it at your local post office. There, the minimum is 6,99€ for a 5kg package with insurance. BUT the very same package (5kg, insurance, within Germany) is even 1€ cheaper if you register online and buy it from here. It's a very simple system and you can pay via Paypal.
Hermes has the same system: 4,69€ for a package size "S" when you label it online (pay later at the shop) and 5,49€ when you label it by hand.
Another example from DPD: They also have an online-only offer for packages size "XS" but you also pay less when you pay online directly. Size S package online: 4,20€ and with payment in the shop 4,50€ (okay, it's not that much cheaper but for bigger packages, the difference can be up to 2€!)

prices may not be up to date!

Registered airmail
An international package with insurance can be very expensive (like 35-45€) but some items can be send as "Wertbrief international" You can use the shipping calculator for this. Choose "Versandtasche" and "Einschreiben" (registered airmail). Then, you can choose insurance up to whatever the value of your item is. Every 100€ insurance costs 2€. So for 200€ it's 4€ more.
Example:
1kg bubble-wrap envelope to the USA - 7€
+ insurance up to 300€ - 6€
+ registered airmail - 2,15€
= 13,15€ in total

A 5kg package with insurance up to 500€ to the US
= 35,99€ (minimum price)
Sometimes items are too heavy or too bulky for registered airmail but for some dresses, blouses and accessory, it's a great deal!

Please keep in mind to send everything with insurance. I lost some stuff over the years because I didn't want to pay the extra money for insurance. It's also important for your Paypal seller's protection!! There are many scammers out there who want your stuff and your money!!

Hope this was little bit helpful for some of you :)Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-76349608296415330912015-10-22T10:46:00.001-07:002015-10-22T10:46:22.706-07:00Vienna WeekendBefore I continue with my Japan posts, I write about my last weekend in Vienna.

Friday
Aimee
and I arrived around noon at Vienna airport and were able to check in
earlier at the hotel. We changed into some comfortable Lolita clothes
and headed to a Palatschinken/ Kaiserschmarrn restaurant. We both LOVE
Kaiserschmarrn and ordered two small portions each. It was soooo~
delicious!! Full and happy, we did some sightseeing. I always wanted to
see the emperor's tomb and it was breathtaking and very interesting how
much the style of the coffin changed during the centuries.
We also
visited the Stephansdom (cathedral) and the Manner shop (delicious
waffle snack) after meeting up with other Lolitas at the Prater. It's a
fun fair with a famous ferris wheel. We took a ride (a round?) in this
particual wheel but I didn't feel very well... After that, we
walked around and some of the girls drove the bumper car or visited
rollercoasters and we ate some snacks. It was a fun evening, I enjoyed
it very much.
Saturday
Unfortunately, Aimee's alarm clock went
nuts and beeped at 7:25h! Way too early but I couldn't sleep anymore, so
I read a bit. Two hours later we got up and got ready for the Tea Party. We
arrived a bit too early but were able to talk to some of the girls who
were there already. I also got a twin, Mio wore the same dress in blue.
When we entered the venue itself, it reminded me of 2013. It looked
quite the same but that's nothing negative. I checked out the stalls and
bought a Meta necklace.
I talked to some other girls I haven't met
for a long time and it felt really good. When they opened the buffet, I
was even happier. The food was so good and there was plenty - thank
God!
The Q&A was a bit hard to follow because it was a bit loud
and the translator too quiet but the questions are always the same, so
no problem. The we took a group picture and I won a cute necklace at the
raffle - yay! I feel, I haven't done anything that day. It was over so
quickly. But it was a very nice and well organised event.
Afterwards, we ate Lasagna at the Naschmarkt and made ourselved ready for the after party which was a concert.
We
arrived when the second band played. It was not my music but the show
was nice and we talked a bit with some other girls in the bar area.
After Meinhard, there was a little Burlesque show and it was really
funny because Fifi started wearing a cat fleece onesie. After that, there
was Lolita Komplex and the show was great! The atmosphere felt right
and we did a wall of kawaii, haha :D There were two more burlesque
dances and Die Milch. They were sooo funny and cute! The music was
better than I expected it to be. They also talked in English and a tiny
little bit in German - so cute!
It was a great evening, I enjoyed it even more than the actual tea party.

Sunday
On Sunday, there was a J-Fashion J-Fashion Bring and Buy and Aimee and I decided to twin our Brigitte JSKs. There was so much to buy! New and second hand stuff! I bought a Liz Lisa jacket and we talked a bit with the other girls but we didn't stay very long. We wanted to visit Schönbrunn castle that day and it wasn't that far away but it was very tiring because many people wanted photos and out feet hurt very much. So we decided to come back on Monday for a guided tour. We were at the hotel quite early and weren't in the mood to go to a restaurant, so we stayed there and relaxed (and watched Schwiegertocher gesucht, hahaha)

On Monday, there wasn't anything Lolita related. We took the guided tour in muggle clothes and then headed back home.

It was a wonderful evening, I loooove Vienna. It's a beautiful city with beautiful people. I want to come back!!Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-27645220939711803932015-10-08T11:19:00.001-07:002015-10-08T11:19:52.232-07:00Japan 2015: Day 6 - Back in Tokyo I took an early Shinkansen and said Goodbye to the Kansai area while it was raining. It Tokyo it wasn't raining - thank God! I was able to check in a little bit earlier and then met a German friend who is living in Tokyo and one of this friends. We visited the Sweets Paradise in Ikebukuro. It's All You Can Eat with cakes but also Japanese curry and other hearty dishes. I tried a few of the cakes, all of them consisted almost completely out of cream. That was too much, so I changed to the curry and it was so delicious *_* The even had salad with the sesame sauce I love so much. When the time was over, it had started to rain again, so Simon and I went to the Game Center where I took Purikura with him. It was his first time and he hated it but it was soooo funny and I was happy he did it.

When we parted ways, I decided to go Shibuya and shop a little bit in 109.
During my first time in Japan in 2009, I was in my Gyaru phase (I wasn't pulling off the style correctly but I loved the clothes). We have visited the 109 many times during our vacation and were there for many hours.
This time, I visited all the floors and was finished like... after an hour or so? I'm not much into the fashion anymore, I think. I bought some socks and that's it. After that, I visited the Shibuya Disney store and bought some more Tsums. It was raining quite heavily but it was still early, so on my way back, I made a stop in Harajuku.
Before I came to Japan, I saw that there was the red version of AATPs Gather Frill Chiffon was available at Closet Child Harajuku but on my first day, I couldn't find it. So I thought, it was sold but it was there!! It's missing the pearl chain but the price was so good, that I bought it after trying on. I was so happy, it was my first Lolita dress I bought there. Because of the heavy rain, I just visited a few shops at Takeshita doori and bought accessory at Paris Kids.

By chance, I found the tradition style Hello Kitty restaurant. Another themed restaurant, that's what I like!
Like in the Peter Rabbit restaurant, there were Hello Kitty plushies sitting on the tables. I got something <strike>traditional japanese</strike> delicious: PASTA. They were very good and you were able to keep the chopsticks. I like presents!

I love all the details in themed restaurant/ cafes! The (no idea if this is the correct English word for ist) foot (they stand on it..) of the tables were Hello Kitty ribbons!!
There was another Ghibli shop next to the restaurant
Next, I looked around the area and found a giant Buddha (Ryozen Kannon). It was a shrine for WWII. You got an incense stick and put it in a sand to many others. It was for the unknown soldiers who died during the war. It was very quiet and peaceful there. It was almost closing time. So I looked around and saw a big golden ball. You had to go around it three times and touch it, thinking of your greatest wish. Then it will happen. I tried, so let's see what happens.
There were many urns with sand/ soil from World War II cemeteries. I found that a bit strange but it was very interesting to see everything.

Then I took the bus back and got in the train for the Inari shrine.I always wanted to have my own photo standing in the 1000 tori and I got it!
It was very easy to find since the Inari station has just one exit. There was the first giant Tori and I was in awe *_*
(but before I got something from the Sailor Moon Gashapon at the conbini) I was too tired to walk all the way down the 1000 tori but I enjoyed it very much. The sun was going down and the food stalls closed, so afterwards I drove back to Osaka and called it a day

I really liked Kyoto and all the sightseeing! It's so different from Tokyo ♥ I'm happy I decided to go to Kyoto and Osaka. Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-68071246458544486232015-10-05T09:44:00.000-07:002015-10-05T09:44:24.868-07:00Japan 2015: Day 5 - Kyoto Part 1 I have so many pictures I want to show you, so I will divide Kyoto in two parts!

It was a wonderful sunny day and I took the Shinkansen to Kyoto quite early because I had an appointment at 11 o'clock. I've seen some people doing Maiko photoshoots and I wanted to try it too. It wasn't because of the makeup but the Kimono. I wanted to know the feeling of wearing a Kimono.
In Kyoto, I had to take the bus. The system is so easy, because it's always the same amount you have to pay, no matter how many stations. But I took a day-ticket (500 Yen) because I didn't know. Thank god, I had internet connection. Otherwise, I would have been lost without help. But with Maps I found the studio easily and the transformation began.
I chose the studio plan with one extra photo in the garden and the full wig. I got some socks and a white "dress" and was told to go upstairs and change into it. I waited and saw a beautiful light pink kimono with cherry blossoms! That was what I wanted!! But before you can choose a kimono, you will get your makeup. The women spoke little English but it was enough to give you instruction "Close your eyes" etc. When I first saw my full makeup I was shocked T_T Everyone looked so pretty but I felt so ugly. Then I was able to choose my kimono but the sakura one was gone! So I chose a turquoise/ teal colored one. Unfortunately it looks totally blue on the photos. Then I got my wig, it was a strange feeling because it weighs a lot. And last but not least: the kimono! I was so tight!!! The woman who got dressed at the same time looked like she was "suffering", too. We looked at each other and smiled. When I was finished, I still had the feeling of not looking good but I liked the kimono a lot. The color was so vibrant ♥
I waited downstairs and saw the girl (she was Japanese) in the light pink sakura kimono. She looked GORGEOUS! When she passed by, she said to me, that I looked very pretty. That was very nice because I wasn't able to feel the same way. The photoshoot itself was very quick. I got instructions how to look and how to pose. Just one shot for one pose and finish! I knew the photos must turn out as ugly as I felt. I had 10 minutes free time in the backstreet and the photographer took a few pictures with my camera. After two hours, it was over and I changed back.
I got my photos and didn't even dare to look at them.

Then I looked around a bit. Woah, nobody told me there are so many stairs! There were sooo many tourists and tourist~y shops with souvenirs. I bought some keychains (for me and as a souvenir) and super cute bonbon sweets sushi. One of the shop owners asked where I was from. After telling him, we said "Dankeschön" (Thank you) and "Schönen Tag!" (Have a good day). I love it whem foreign people do this ♥

There were many Totoro/ Ghibli Shops. I this in any way related to Kyoto?
Next, some sightseeing. I visited the Kiyomizu-dera. I always wanted to stand there and the view was breathtaking *-* I bought some good-luck charms (but for good health and relationship) and strolled through the area. It was soooo beautiful but the cicadas were very loud and nerv wreckig!
Next will be the Hello Kitty traditional style restaurant, a Giant Buddha and Inari (1000 tori)Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-30810131721445477242015-09-29T11:10:00.001-07:002015-10-06T04:19:44.911-07:00Japan 2015: Day 4 - USJNO RAIN IN THE MORNING! I checked the weather forecast for Osaka that day and it said no rain for the whole day. So I became very brave and left my umbrella at the apartment. I had a date with Liemzie that day. She and her husband visited Düsseldorf many years ago and this was my second time meeting her. They live in Osaka for three years now, that's awesome! I was very happy to meet her again!
I wore my new Dramatic Rose JSK but not as a Lolita coord but just as cute fashion. Liemzie also wore an Angelic Pretty dress and we got many compliments for looking cute that day! Even Hello Kitty liked our outfits, especially the cookie print.
I was a bit too early so I checked out Universal City and bought a Rilakkuma cream cake (which was delicious!!). When Liemzie arrived, we made some Purikura in a game center and then went to the park. I got my ticket the evening before at Lawson (I repeat: it was so complicated although I got a photo tutorial! The Lawson staff had to translate my name in Katakana for me...) so we were able to enter immediately. I asked her for recommendations, so I first got my timed entry ticket for the Harry Potter world and then we went to some cute Space ride. I'm not a big fan of rollercoasters with loopings etc. but this one was "safe" for me. There were many people with twin fashion, most of it matched the Universal Studios characters. Unfortunately, I didn't understand the story behind this ride but I guess it was something like "Save the world" or so :D I felt a little bit weird after the ride, haven't been on one for two years now but it was really cute ♥

After that, we strolled through the park, watched a Minions parade, water splash battle and met Hello Kitty! I think it's called the Ribbon Collection. There are some Hello Kitty fashion items, like elaborate dresses, purses etc. After that, you enter a room and a person in a Hello Kitty costume greets you. She spoke English and it wasn't just preset sentences. I was very suprised. Photos were taken and we both decided to buy one of the pictures as a memory.
We checked out the shops and I fell in love with Moppy, a USJ-only Sesame Street character. It's pink and fluffy!!! I bought a little plushie - tired Moppy. I think Liemzies quote is perfect: "It's stupidly cute!" ♥
With Moppy ♥

There wasn't so much time left because Liemzie had to work that day, so we took the Spider Man 4D ride. It was so cool, and there was even Stan Lee in it, hahahaha!
Shortly after that, we parted ways with a promise to meet in Europe again next time. I'm looking forward to it.
So I headed toward the Harry Potter world. °^° I was sooooo amazed! At first the damaged Ford Anglia in the woods and then: HOGSMEADE! HOGWARTS! HOGWARTS EXPRESS! Aaaaaaah~ There was a show with some Hogwarts students singing and dancing with toads but I didn't like it. I got myself some delicious frozen butterbeer (tastes like caramel slushie) and went to the main attraction: the 4D ride! First, I took the wrong lane and was in line for the Hogwarts tour - oops! Then, I took the right way and waited and drank my butterbeer. It said, I had to wait 180 minutes but thank God, it was just around 80 minutes in total. First, you see a little bit of Hogwarts like Dumbledore's office and then you get into the ride. I felt a bit dizzy afterwards, maybe because of the butterbeer shake in my stomach. But it was soooooooo cool! *____* Next up was Ollivanders. I got told beforehand, that someone gets chosen for the show and guess who got chosen? ME!! (Fangirl moment deluxe) The show was both in English and Japanese, so no problem. We played the scene when Harry gets his wand and so I got mine. After the show, you enter the shop and I was able to purchase this special wand you can only get when you were chosen by Ollivander. But I passed. It was oak with unicorn hair because I'm so charismatic - hahahaha!! But I was very happy after that. But I was happy the whole day. I smiled all the time because I had so much fun ♥♥♥

It was definitely one of the best days of the whole vacation. I'm sorry there are so many pictures. I wanted to show you even more! There was sooo much to see ♥
I remember it rained again and I had the feeling my suitcase was already 10kg heavier D: I headed to Tokyo station to catch the next Shinkansen to Osaka. It was a 3-hours train ride but I watched some Teen Wolf on my tablet and tried to sleep a bit. In Osaka it rained (suprise....) and I headed to my Airbnb apartment. The people in Osaka were SO friendly, I was touched. At my aparment's train station, the conductor asked me in English where I wanted to go. Obviously, I looked very helpless with my google maps print. He knew the building and told me where to go. He also wanted to give me an umbrella T_T
I missed the building and another lady saw my wet and helpless self and showed me my apartment. So my first impression of the Kansai people war very good. Btw. in Tokyo, you stand on the left side of an escalator and walk on the right side. In Osaka, it's the other way around. Nobody is able tell me why.
My apartment was very clean and had everything you need. A big bed, kitchen, washing machine, TV, microwave, even a lint roller and band-aid!
Again, I made myself ready for some shopping. I used the Osaka Lolita Shopping Guide from Liemzie.
Shinsaibashi
When I entered Innocent World (first shop I visited), the rain magically stopped raining and didn't come back that day!! Some of the shops are very hidden but I found everything I wanted. I bought some socks at IW that were on sale. Thank God, none of the shops there were closed, so I was also able to buy something at Kinji! I really liked Maiden Clothing in Osaka! They also had 30% off summer sale but I understood it later when I paid. But there was nothing I really wanted, so I got myself a tiny black Usakumya. My first one! Now I'm a true Lolita XD
Then I bought a cutsew at Angelic Pretty (on sale, the magic word!) and visited Near, the Lolita 2nd store next to AP. I didn't like it at all!! Everything was in plastic bags. It's like a garage and no one except for the shopgirl and me was there. I felt a bit embarassed because the plastic bags were so loud in the silence. I didn't buy anything.....
It became a little late, so I took the train to Umeda and visited the HEP5 shopping center. It has a freaking ferris wheel on top!! What the....
There were the usual shops like Axes Femme and a Disney store where I bought some Tsumtsums. What I didn't know: There was the limited Gudetama restaurant!! I'm not a fan of Gudetama but everything looked so cool and cute that I ate some delicious Udon there. And Gudetama (the egg) was soooooo creamy. Never ate an egg like this before. In Germany it's either liquid or very hard and dry in side. This one was just creamy and *^*
After that, it was very late and I was very tired. So no Osaka castle or other sightseeing for me in Osaka. I went back to my apartment and the owner came to give me a new pocket wifi. The one I got earlier didn't work. So YES! Finally wifi everywhereeeeee!
I went to Lawson to buy a Universal Studios Ticket for the next day. I had a tutorial how to buy it at the machine but I needed my name in Katakana, so the staff helped me. ^^" So I got my USJ ticket for the next day, woohooo~
My first stop this day was
Harajuku! I browsed through the shops but wasn't so pleased with the
stuff they offered. I wanted to visit Usagiyouhinten but it was closed
without notice how long and why. Kinji (second hand store for normal
clothes) was also closed but because of renovation (opening after my
holiday)! I was very dissapointed but it luckily stopped raining and
became very humid and hot. I bought some socks at Metamorphose in La
Foret and could stop me buying another new bag at Innocent World (it was
on sale ;_;) I also bought new films for my Instax camera at Kiddy Land
and looked at all the pretty merchandise they had. I ate at Lotteria
(big mistake...the burger wasn't good at all) and asked a few people for
other second hand stores in Tokyo. I got the tip to go to Koenji, so I
did later)
On my way back to the station, I stopped again
at Liz Lisa and tried on a few things. My makeup was already messed up
at that time but the shop girls still said how cute my hair and outfit
was. Although you know it's a lie, it still feels good to get
compliments ^_^
I also did a set of Purikura...ALONE! Felt so
stupid because you could choose two layouts for...yeah...two people. But
the photos are still a nice memory.

Yes, you can pity me now!
Tokyu Plaza
Next stop: Shinjuku
First
I went to Closet Child and checked out their stuff. I should have
bought the AP Chocolate Rosette berets but I didn't. I don't know why,
they were so cheap D: I left the shop without buying anything and headed
towards Marui Annex. The last time I was in Japan, it was still Mariu
ONE but I think Annex is almost the same. On my way back I found Leur
Getter but felt very uncomfortable in the shop. It's very small and
there were three shops girls. One of them also complimented my hair.
Thank youuu *beam* ^__^ I wanted to visit the merchandise corner of the
Sailor Moon café but it was also closed although it just opened an hour
ago.

So without any new stuff, I took the train to my next stop:
Koenji
The
shopping street next to the train station is filled with little second
hand shops. Some of them have vintage stuff but also modern clothes. I
bought some dresses and tops there and was satisfied for the first time
that day! I also got some super cheap Liz Lisa items. That's how you
make me happy. I would recommend you this area if you are ok with second
hand stuff and like treasure hunting.
I took the train back
to my hotel, showered (felt sooo good after walking in the heat all day)
and changed for my dinner date with Mariana at the Peter Rabbit Café!
The
entrance of the café is so cute with many plants and a telephone booth.
The inside was very spacious and a big Peter Rabbit plushie sat on
every table - how cute is that? Of course there were many Peter Rabbit
themed pictures on the wall and on every table was a little story book.
I
ordered french toast with strawberries and I think it was Doria what
Mariana ordered. It was A LOT and soooooooo~ super delicious. The plates
had also Peter Rabbit prints and there were little baked Peters on our
dishes.
I asked a lot about her life and her shopping service.
It was very interesting!! Before coming to Japan, I ordered the
Dramatic Rose special set through her and she gave it to me that day.
It's such a lovely print and dress ♥
After the café we took
some purikura (yay, not alone!) and then parted again. It was wonderful
to meet her after such a long time of shopping for me ♥
It has gotten soooo cold!! Can't believe I wore summer dresses in Japan just a week ago...
But let's start from the beginning. My flight with All Nippon Airways was very pleasant, I was able to get a window seat and got some sleep during the 11-hours-flight. Next to me sat a boy and a girl from Germany at it was there first visit in Japan and they asked a lot about everything. It was very nice to chat with them. The food was good (as good as economy-on-board-food can be...) and we even got icecream! They constantly came around with green tea, sake, black tea, water etc. but I tried to sleep after I watched Inside Out (loooooved it!! It's not even out in Germany!!)
The landing was very soft and I was glad I arrived safely in Japan! I changed my Rail Pass voucher for the real deal and took the next NEX to Tokyo. It rained a lot this day but after arriving at the hotel (and telling everyone at home that I'm still alive), I quickly took a shower and changed and headed towards Closet Child Ikebukuro und Sunshine City.
I immediately bought two bags and a choker at Closet Child. I'm under pressure in Second Hand shops. It may be gone the next day, so....just throw it in the bag! In Sunshine City, I ate a super delicious crêpe with strawberries, custard, cream and chocolate sauce *v* I strolled through Studio ALTA and bought a card case for my Suica but nothing more. The stuff I tried on, didn't fit and it was just the first day after all.
I bought some Yakisoba at Family Mart and then headed to the hotel. I was very tired and slept quite early.
It will be my third time there but the first time all on my own °^° I'm not scared because of that, just positively excited. I have many dates there with several people living in Tokyo and Osaka and I'm so looking forward to meet them again or for the first time. For example, I'm meeting up with two girls who are shopping services. They shop for me for years already and now I'm finally able to meet them. That makes me very happy ^___^
One question I got asked very often was:
How much did you spend for your trip to Japan?
I made a list for my last Japan trip on my old livejournal blog but I want to make a new one. The costs may vary a lot to what others spent, of course. Depends on your airport location, hotel etc. but maybe it can give you an impression.

Flight:
630€ direct flight from DUS - NRT and back
Hotel for 7 nights in Tokyo:
¥47.925 (one-bed hotel rooms are sooo expensive T_T)
Airbnb flat for 3 nights in Osaka:
105€
JR Rail Pass for 7 days:
206€

That's what is fix! For the other days, I will use a Suica Card (prepaid card for the subway system). There's always a method to get stuff cheaper but I booked the flight pretty late (3 months prior to the actual flight) and I didn't want to fly with Air China (would have been around 100€ cheaper) because the flight times were quite bad and I'd travel muuuuch longer due to the stays in Beijing. Everything else was even more expensive.
For the hotel: I wanted a room on my own, no dorm rooms with other people I don't know and I don't want to share a bathroom, too. So I prefer to pay more and have the luxury of being alone ^_~
The last times, I've been to Japan, I never had a Rail Pass. This time, I'm going to Osaka and Kyoto and Shinkansen fares and sooo expensive. So I bought the Rail Pass here in advance. This was super easy and it arrived after one day from France - super fast, just like the Shinkansen ^_~

I will make a list with all the other costs (more trainrides, food, entrance fees) after my holidays. I have to pack now (Θ︹Θ)სNancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-24532188737528440982015-08-19T11:18:00.002-07:002015-08-19T11:18:52.086-07:00New layout - more motivation? My last entry was in March! But to be honest... my Lolita life sucks at the moment. There aren't any local meetups anymore, the only event coming up is the Metamorphose Tea Party in Vienna (in October!!)
BUT! I saw those freaking cute backgrounds at shabbyblogs.com and thought about altering my layout. Maybe then I will have more motivation to blog ^_~
I will go to Japan in less than two weeks and I want to make a diary about it. So I will misuse this Lolita themed blog for it. I will try to write about my Lolita shopping experiences there and maybe some of the information can help you for your future visits!

I really hope my Lolita life situation will change in the near future. I really miss it!Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-71545870175186615002015-03-13T10:27:00.001-07:002015-03-13T10:29:31.112-07:00La vie en rose in Paris - Day 1

Long time, no see....again! I'm sorry! I don't know if you even want to read something about Paris anymore but I will blog about it anyways ;D
So last month was the Street Fashion Europe event in Paris. This year it was called La vie en rose, last year it was Enchanted in London. Because of my new job, I wasn't able to get a day off so we (Aimee, Cindy, her fiancé and I) drove to Paris on Friday evening (Feb. 20th) We arrived really late although we were lucky and had no traffic jams. Next day we had to get up early because we had VIP/ Valentine tickets and the entrance started at 10 o'clock! When we arrived, there were already many girls waiting in line. It's always a nice picture to see so many beautiful girls in one spot! Cindy and I were one of the first Valentine ticket holders to enter the venue (we also got ticket no. 1 and 2, haha but that didn't matter) and looked for the Triple Fortune bonnets... woaah soooo many! In all the colors you can imagine. Cindy thought about buying one but couldn't decide. Next we looked for the evil live bags. I got the one and only heart bag in pink. YEEEESSS! My first light pink Lolita bag! After all this time, can you imagine? I was/ am soooo happy! They also had gold, beige, black... wanted all of them ;_; I had the feeling that the shopping stalls were much better than last year because... I bought much more, haha! I also bought a necklace from Li-Paro and the Lolita necklace from Syrup. I was thinking about getting a Grimoire dress or socks or.... geeeeeeez! Couldn't handle all the cool stuff! We strolled around and ate the delicious food. OMG! It was sooooo good! How to make me happy? Give me something delicious to eat! I can get really grumpy if I can't get anything to eat :D
We checked our goodie bags and found many cool things. A calendar, Baby buttons, post cards, nail stickers etc. I really liked the things they put in the goodie bags ♥
I also took a photo together with Masumi Kanoh and got her autograph and talked with other guests.
I'd say Juliette et Justine was a big thing this year! I saw many girls wearing their dresses. Last year the inofficial theme was: BIG headdresses. This year there were many veils (wedding theme) and 3F bonnets (of course)
Then the program started. Unfortunately it was still very loud during the Q&A because many guests were still shopping and chatting. Although I'm not a huge fan of fashion shows at Lolita events, I liked both of them. The brand that participated had beautiful clothes!
When BABI's talk (designer of 3F) started we got so thirsty and got something to drink at a supermarket. But the girls I talked with later, said that it was very interesting!
Then...the raffle. Oh my, I'm not lucky when it comes to raffles BUT "1" was my lucky number that day. I got a necklace from Sweet & Tiny and a hat from Promise of Nostalgica!! I could't believe it. I loved the stuff from Sweet & Tiny but I already bought two necklaces that day. But I won one.. so much better! And the PoN hat was made of me (I'm sure!). The color combination is just my thing.
Cindy won a hat and Aimee won earrings at the raffle but unfortunately the hat wasn't Cindy's style and Aimee has tunnels so earrings are nothing she can wear :(

The stuff I got and bought that day ♥
Our feet hurt like hell but we still managed to go to L'arc de triomphe which was nearby and took some pictures.
Later we met up with Sarah and ate burgers in a 50s style diner called "Happy Days Diner" and yes... this was a happy day!
We also made a video about it!

Thank you Street Fashion Europe for organizing this wonderful event ♥ I enjoyed it a lot!
Dress, socks, necklace: Angelic Pretty
Blouse and headdress: Taobao (forgot the shop names, sorry)
Shoes: Bodyline
So, you see, 2014 wasn't my best year. I hope 2015 will be better, also lolita-wise. I haven't visited many events and bought too much new stuff. Let's hope for the better, right?

What's your feeling for 2014? Was it a good or not-so-good year?
I wish you the best start for 2015, hope to see you again there ♥ Stay sexy~Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-34471076769163573582014-12-27T01:41:00.000-08:002014-12-27T01:41:16.775-08:00Candy Day Magic Christmas Tea Party

Hope you had wonderful holidays ♥ I celebrated Christmas with my family and ate lots of good food. But now I want to show you pictures of the Candy Day Magical Christmas Tea Party which was one week ago on the 20th!
Cindy and I stayed at Oh Tralala's place together with Chokelate. It was soooo much fun ♥ We even made a video together. You can watch it here:

But let's come to the event report! The event was held in Seligenstadt. I've never been there. It's a very small and old city with a monastery where we had a guided tour. It was very interesting because it has a looooong history. Even the Dalai Lama visited Seligenstadt!
After the tour, the tea party itself started. When we entered the beautifully decorated room, I just saw the buffet. Cakes....soooo many cakes! And also hearty dishes like little sandwiches with ham and cheese. I was so sad I couldn't try everything ;_;

They girls made the decoration themselves. Plus, every guest got a beautiful card, a pin, homemade cookies and two markers in silver and gold.

This was my first dish. Buttercream cake (OMG, it was sooooooooo~ delicious) and baguette with parma ham. Everything I tasted was really good. When I get good food, I'm happy ^_^
We talked a lot and some of the girls who participated in the secret santa got their presents. I didn't participate, so no present for me :D After that, the Q&A with Nina aka Chokelate began. Her German is already so good, I was impressed. She talked about Lockshop and her modelling career. It was very interesting. She is only 24 and has done so much already!
Between the program, we chatted a lot and I was happy to see so many of the girls again. Most of them live quite far away, so we only see each other at occasions like this. We took some photos and then the outfit contest started, after this the raffle - and o-m-g (!) I won something. My raffle streak of bad luck has come to an end, I think. I won a wig by MyCostumes in black, so cool!!The last part of the program was a group picture. Awesome, right? So many pretty girls!

I had so much fun and I hope I can participate in this event again next year. Thanks to the girls of the Candy Day Frankfurt who organised this event. ♥

Last but not least my outfit:

I wore my Twinkle Carnival halter neck JSK in ivory with ivory and gold accessory.

Photo by Christian Rösch. I got asked a lot if this is my real hair. No, it's a wig with a half wig. It was quite heavy, yes :D

And together with Cindy who wore her Sugar Dream Dome :)

Did you have a Christmas/ holiday themed Lolita event in your community? Let me know in the comments ♥Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-45143638387734507162014-12-19T02:00:00.003-08:002014-12-22T04:43:09.361-08:00LBC: Personal Lolita Goals for 2015It's time for another Lolita Blog Carnival! Before I start with my goals for 2015, I will recap my goals for 2014 - what happened to my resolutions? Did I make it?

Go to all the meetups \o/
What a fail! I attended Enchanted in London and the Rothenburg Tea Party. That's it for the big events. I wasn't able to attend Revelry, Animagic, the Utrecht Kawaii Weekend was more or less cancelled and there haven't been many local meetups, too. I also missed the Japan Expo/ Tea Parties in Paris again. BUT! There will be one more event this year - the Candy Day Christmas tea party tomorrow!! It's my first time attending it and I'm very excited ^O^ The first big event for 2015 is also planned - La vie en rose in Paris in February. My best friend Cindy and I got a Valentine ticket and we are so looking forward to it!

Only buy stuff you need and really want
This worked, I'd say! More or less...I got many dream dresses and did not so many implusive buys.

Be more creative
Yes! I sewed bonnets and other headdresses and was very happy with my coords this year!

Get to know more people
This worked quite okay. New Lolitas joined our local community who are very nice and I met cool new people at the tea party in Rothenburg, so: achieved but could have been more!

Soooooo... now for my 2015 goals!

Really attend more meetups!!!
I can't help it if there are no meetups in my area (I refuse to organise any more meetups!) but I hope there will be more bigger events I can go to! >_<

Take more photos/ make more videos
I always take my camera with me but then I don't take photos. Now that my friend and I have a Youtube channel, we should film more to add more content to it!!

No more blouses
I already have so many! @_@" Maybe a new one in ivory because I only have one but no more white, black, or pink blouses!!

Sell the clothes I don't wear anymore
This would quite well for 2014 (at first) BUT I bought so many new clothes, that it doesn't count. I don't want to hoard to many stuff when I'm not able to wear all of them :(

Blog more
This speaks for itself. Fill this blog with more content ♥
So what is Lolita Blog Carnival about?
Lolita Blog Carnival is a group on Facebook where Lolita bloggers write
articles to topics like this on the same day, every week. It's
interesting to read other people opinions and we promote each other by
linking the other blogs. If you like the idea, please visit the Facebook group :)

Later, we added another Unpacking video we even got a secret for. After that we decided to do more Youtube videos and make our own channel! It's just for fun! We are collecting ideas for more videos and hope people enjoy our babbling :)
Although I don't live that far away, I never visited the Chocolate Museum in Cologne. This time, there was a Lolita meetup, so perfect timing to wear my new Chocolate Rosette JSK.
I'm not the type of person who likes to visit museums. I think it's boring to read all the boards and look at things behind glass cases. But there were still some interesting things. You could see the production of small chocolate bars and taste freshly-made chocolate from a fountain - yummy! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures from that day. Although we wanted to make a group shot, we missed it...like always :(
The visit at the museum was quite funny: Because of our (mostly chocolated themed) outfits, many people thought we belong to the museum and asked when our show will begin. One woman also said we were lying because we said we were there privately :'D
After the meetup we went to an Asian restaurant. The food was really good and the owners also gave us some sushi for free - so nice! The restaurant was so small that we all filled it. No place left for other guests ^^"
So all together it was a nice day! The museum itself was not soooo exciting for me but it was good I was there finally. Here are just a few pictures of....me. And Cindy ^_^ (thought it was even more boring so see pictures of pictures :D)

with two of the Lindt mascots. The chocolate that they produce at the museum is also by Lindt.

With the Milka cow. Milka is another famous German chocolate brand!
Full outfit show together with Cindy at the restaurant
Another shot from the museum at an old "shop" that sold chocolate.

Hope I will find more time to blog in the future. See you ♥
Last weekend I visited my best friend Cindy at her home, we had a fun weekend! On Saturday we attended a little meetup in Siegburg. Loopy organized this and the theme was "Barbie" because we visited a Barbie exhibition at the museum. There was no dresscode, even Lolita was not necessary but we all ended up wearing pink, haha :D
Unfortunately the exhibition was reeeaaally small, just two bigger glass displays with many Barbies in it and a few signs to read. I thought it was quite boring because I expected something more but the entrance fee was just 1€ so it was okay. We could have also visited the rest of the museum but we wanted to visit the abbey, too so we were done already after half an hour...

Military Barbie!

Obviously Barbie prefers McDonalds over Burger King :D
There were also many dolls I recognized from my own childhood.. Good old times :')

Our group photo with Cindy, me, Hadaly (her outfit is handmade/painted!), Savannah, Miuko and Loopy. Her boyfriend took this picture and later also played photographer at the abbey - thank you for this!

The abbey is on a hill and we were soooo exhausted when we were on top. Unfortunately we took the wrong staircase and were on the side of the abbey that was under construction. But we found a photo place nevertheless.

We got attacked by these chestnuts D: On hit me on my shoulder, I still felt the pain three days later, ouch! So yeah.. autumn is here. The weather is already very unsettled but we were very lucky last Saturday. The sun was shining and it was quite warm ♥

This is me wearing my new Brigitte JSK by Angelic Pretty. I love this vest style!

It's just a picture taken with my cellphone camera but the filter makes it so autumn~y ♥

Our organizer: Cute Loopy!

Again Cindy and me. I made her coordinate for that day because she had no inspiration. It went out really well, right? ^_^
My outfit rundown is
dress & socks: Angelic Pretty
blouse: 69th department
shoes: Secret Shop

After that we went to the city and ate cake, ice and waffles at a café. It was a wonderful day. Because of the few people, it was easier to talk with everyone and I enjoyed the day a lot ♥Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-44545192531328764732014-09-28T08:51:00.001-07:002014-09-28T08:51:50.166-07:0052 weeks (39) - Lolitas I would love to meet

An "idol" I want to meet is Midori Fukasawa. She is one of my favorite Lolita models and simply.. Lolita perfection! I also have her Pullip Doll ♥
I'd looove to meet the girls from the US-american or Australian communities! LovelyLor's and Deerstalker Pictures' videos are always fun to watch and they all seem so nice and fun ♥
To keep it short, I want to meet all of them, all around the world, as many as possible. I've met soo many wonderful people through Lolita fashion and I know there are many more out there ♥

Sorry for the short "filler" post >_< But next month will be at least two Lolita meetups I'm looking forward, too ♥ So more other stuff to post about ^_^Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-15571744401874891902014-09-21T01:11:00.002-07:002014-09-21T01:11:45.002-07:0052 weeks (38) - Something that was a gift

So just before the 38th week ends, my contribution to this weeks 52 weeks challenge ^_^

I don't like expensive presents, so almost everything from my Lolita wardrobe is from me. Plus, I don't like presents that are just like: I don't know what to give to you? - I want that dress, you can buy this for me.... you know, presenting something just for the sake of presenting. So that's why I buy my stuff on my own. Some years ago, I don't even remember the name, there was was Secret Shop reseller on Livejournal and my boyfriend pre-ordered a pair of shoes for me because he had noooo idea what to give to me -_- Don't get me wrong, I was very happy about the shoes but I would have been happier about a present he chose for me.

They are replicas of Angelic Pretty's Dolly Pearl shoes. I still own and love these shoes. I've worn them quite often, also outside of Lolita. They are very comfortable and easy to coordinate ^_^

Abother Lolita present I got was this ring by my best friend Cindy.

She got herself the gold one, I got the silver one from her for my birthday this year. It's soooo beautiful and it's also a twin item, which makes it even cooler :D

How do you feel about Lolita presents? Did you also get some in the past? ^_^ Nancyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02533348960816335244noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5427123845698656041.post-69492351440055259592014-09-16T01:45:00.002-07:002014-09-16T01:45:31.586-07:0052 weeks (37) - My signature outfit

I'm still one week late D:
That's a hard one. I try to wear many different colors, styles and outfits, so I don't think I have a signature oufit but maybe a signature color. It's RED! My absolute favorite color, especially in Lolita! Many people told me that red really suits me and sometimes think of me, when they see a red dress. Cute, right? ♥
These are just some examples of my red coordinates, there were more red dresses in my closet over the years :D I wish there were more red colorways of prints ♥
Do you have a "signature" outfit? There were many wonderful meetups but there was one I liked by far the most. It was the second day of the Kawaii Weekend in Utrecht 2013. We visited a castle and had a picnic afterwards. Everyone was in a good mood, the weather was nice and we all took a lot of pictues. Misako and RinRin were the special guests at the meetup and were also in a very cheerful mood. They asked what some words mean in Dutch or German and tried to pronounce them. It was so cute and funny! We taught RinRin: "Du bist krass!" which means "you are rad!" but acutally you can use "krass" for many different meanings. We even made a video when she said it! I love to watch the video again sometimes. Maybe this sounds stupid to some people but this was the best meetup I ever attended. The guided tour through the castle was very interesting, the location was beautiful and the atmosphere was just...perfect! I really cherish the memories of that day ♥
This is the photo that made my fall in love with Lolita fashion. It's from the Gothic and Lolita Bible Vol. 8 (2003?) I was amazed by the chiffon fabric and the curly hair. I also had scans of earlier bibles but after seeing this picture it made *click* and I wanted to look like her. I also loved the other pictures, even more the gothic styles in particular but this is still in my mind ♥ But after all I started with Lolita many years later...I have no idea what the dress is called, I even don't know how it looks in total but I'd like to have it for sentimental reasons ♥ Although it's eleven years old (I think the bible is from 2003) it doesn't look old fashioned at all, I like it!
